Germans at Mercedes will introduce in 2014 a new four-door coupe to be positioned under the current CLS. It will be based on future B-Class architecture and platform will use the new MFA.
German manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has big plans regarding the launch of new models, and a smaller version of the current CLS can grasp the ideas for the future of the Germans. According to company sources, German officials will produce a “baby CLS ‘to be based on future B-Class. The same sources, the new four-door coupe will see daylight in 2014.
Will take its design elements from the current CFA and the F800 concept shown at Geneva last year, and overall architecture will be for the new Mercedes philosophy. In the future the German model will be the new platform with front MFA. In terms of future engines that could animate a four-door coupe, the solution could come from Renault.
Mercedes could offer supercharged petrol engines of 1.4 and 1.8 liters, and will belong to the flagship of the Mercedes 1.8-liter gasoline engines of 203 bhp.
