Mercedes has revealed today in the California Lounge the performance version of the CLS model . Equipped with the new AMG V8 engine, coming from the new CLS63 is available in two versions of power.
To cope with strong competition in the industry, here comes the new CLS63 AMG V8, offered in two versions of power. The first one delivers 518 horsepower and 698 Nm of torque, a resource that guarantees a sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in just 4.4 seconds and a top speed limited electronically to 250 km / h.
For the most demanding customers there will be a Performance Package that delivers a total of 550 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque under the hood. Resources ensures acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.3 seconds and a top speed limited electronically also of 300 km / h.
Although the performance coupe with four doors have improved comparatively the old generation, Mercedes has managed to reduce the consumption by 33 percent.
The V8 engine is assisted by a transmission Speedshift MCT seven, with seven reports, which comes with start-stop system, available in run mode C (Controlled Efficiency). When the box is scheduled to Sport mode (S) and Sport Plus (S), the system is idle to save fuel, increase driving pleasure. There are of course the option M Speedshift box, which allows the driver to change gears using shift paddles behind the steering wheel positioned.
To maximize the sensations offered by V8 engine, Mercedes has installed and a start assist system, dubbed RACE START. The package also includes an adaptive suspension technology with three functions, Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus, combined with the latest workshops developed AMG sports steering.
